Begg & Co will mark its debut at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition with a travel retail-exclusive collection of shawls and scarves (Level 1 R11).
The Scottish accessories brand, which was founded in Paisley in 1866, offers a range of scarves, wraps and throws in cashmere, silk and lambswool angora yarns. Its products are available in 21 countries and in travel retail in diplomatic stores across Europe.

Begg & Co Commercial Director Ann Ryley said: “This is the right time for Begg & Co to expand its presence in travel retail. Our brand values and timeless scarves and stoles are the perfect answer to raising consumer expectations for high value and customised experience in this sector.”
The brand said it has built a global customer following by tapping into consumers who seek quality and timeless aesthetics. Collaborations with artists including Sophie Smallhorn and John Booth have contributed to increased brand awareness particularly among millennials, Begg & Co added.

The company described Asia as a “focal point” in its expansion plans. It said selected distribution and a carefully-crafted marketing strategy have resulted in success on the Chinese domestic market. Begg & Co also boasts a strong presence on WeChat where it encourages interaction with fans.
Its travel-retail exclusive collections are based on the brand’s international best-sellers. Begg & Co said a travel retail furniture concept, which aims to maximise brand presentation and sales turnover, is under development.
