UK. Fast-growing George Best Belfast City Airport has teamed up with Chauntry Corporation to implement a new online pre-booking solution, Chauntry Parkspace.
Up to now the airport has operated a parking reservations system for its long stay car park developed by a local supplier. About 2.6 million passengers pass through the terminal each year.
Keen to increase the parking options offered to passengers via its website, the airport sought an adaptable solution that would allow it to be more creative with pricing and promotions. It also wanted to offer customers more self-service capability with the option to manage their own bookings online.

An important factor was the ability to set different tariffs for different parking products, the airport said. This would allow the airport to provide flexible (fully amendable) and non-flexible (no changes or cancellations) parking products at different rates to meet market needs.
With business passengers making up the largest percentage of the airport’s market, the ability to pre-book the new Fast Track Car Park (with Wi-Fi and security fast track) was essential. Chauntry’s system allows the airport to offer a range of parking products with yield pricing appropriate to demand and has the added functionality for customers to make changes without having to call the airport.
