Belo Horizonte Airport issues major food & beverage tenders

BRAZIL. Aeroporto Internacional de Belo Horizonte (BH Airport) has issued a series of major food & beverage tenders at Tancredo Neves International. There are six packages on offer.

The CCR-Flughafen Zürich alliance, which operates the airport, said: “As part of the continuous development of BH Airport to offer its passengers world-class facilities and services, the airport is completely re-designing and re-developing the commercial areas located at the airport’s international and domestic terminals buildings.

“It is time now to invite proposals from interested parties to obtain the rights to open F&B outlets at Tancredo Neves International Airport.

“Our objective is to improve stakeholders’ financial strength, give our passengers a unique and enjoyable travel experience and deliver high quality brands, excellent customer service and value for money products.”

The RFP bid deadline is 28 August, with decisions likely in September.

Belo Horizonte handled 11 million passengers in 2014 and is Brazil’s fifth biggest airport.

BH Airport is a partnership between a consortium led by CCR and Flughafen Zürich, which won the 30-year concession to operate the facility in 2013.

Tancredo Neves International Airport is located in the municipality of Confins, in Belo Horizonte’s metropolitan area, some 38km to the north of the city. Said to be one of the most modern airports in Brazil, it is the main gateway to the State of Minas Gerais, which has a population of over 20 million.
