Bengaluru International Airport was declared the winner post the tabulation of the poll results from airport sector leaders.

The awards ceremony was hosted in Dubai on 1 June.

“This award goes to showcase the hard work the entire Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) airport community puts in to stand out for the larger aviation group we work within,” said BIAL Managing Director GV Sanjay Reddy.

“It is not only a testimony of the promise this airport holds for the future but also the positive sentiments of the industry towards our airport. We are both pleased and proud to receive this award and will work hard to retain our leadership position and continue to excel in our services and quality,” Reddy added.

The EMAA 2011 honoured airports from the emerging markets of Middle East, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Russia, CIS and Baltic states by surveying professionals involved in airports, aviation, aerospace, cargo and logistics. This year, the awards evaluated product and service touch points across the airport experience, covering a wide range of passenger types and highest satisfaction ratings in a diverse market.
