The new anti-cellulite and anti-wrinkle products from Biotherm |
FRANCE. Biotherm has created a new body slimming treatment called Celluli Laser. It is available now in US and Asian travel retail, and will be rolled out to European markets from March.
According to Biotherm, Celluli Laser targets not only fat, but the hardened collagen fibres surrounding fat cells. This helps to stop glycation, one of the main causes of established cellulite.
Glycation occurs when sugar molecules attach to collagen fibres, causing them to stiffen. The fibre network then hardens around fat cells and “anchors” cellulite, making it difficult to dislodge.
Celluli Laser smoothes unwanted “orange-peel” skin and reprofiles contours, Biotherm claims. The formula contains BioFibrine and the Dermobiotic pure thermal plankton – a combination of high technology and natural extracts – plus the “fat burning” active ingredients caffeine, ginkgo, cola and ginseng.
Celluli Laser is available as a two-step routine, consisting of a Starter Slimming Exfoliator Scrub (€35), and the High Precision Slimming Treatment (€44). The former heats up on application, as its exfoliating particles polish and smooth the skin’s surface. The latter is a fast-penetrating, cooling peach-pink gel, scented with grapefruit, orange and peppermint.
Also new from Biotherm is the new Rides Repair Pur Silicium collection. Described as the first dermobiotic anti-wrinkle care with lasting results, it is being launched this month into European travel retail, before rolling out to the US in March.
The range is based around a natural ingredient, pure silicium, reportedly known for its anti-wrinkle effectiveness. Rides Repair contains high concentrations of pure silicium in both its mineral and organic forms, for its key role in the organisation and stabilisation of skin tissues, by facilitating their regeneration.
The full Rides Repair range comprises a preparatory polisher, a day cream, a night cream, an eye cream and a serum.
The suggested domestic prices for the day, eye and night products are €57.50, €41 and €61.50, respectively.
