Bottega has launched Pink Gold Prosecco Rosé in advance of St. Valentine’s Day. The sparkling brut (dry) wine combines Glera and Pinot Noir grapes, which, according to Bottega, are cultivated using traditional techniques to maintain their quality. The “fresh, complex and fruity” expression was created by Bottega as a premium version of its Prosecco rosé.
Pink Gold Bottega is presented in a standout pink bottle with glittered accents and foil. The RRP is £23.99 (US$33).
Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on 14 February. According to Britannica, the celebration has origins in the Roman festival of Lupercalia, held in mid-February. The festival, to mark the coming of spring, included fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I replaced Lupercalia with Saint Valentine’s Day. It came to be celebrated as a day of romance from about the 14th century. |
As reported, Bottega Owner and Managing Director Sandro Bottega has penned a tribute to Italy’s Prosecco hills and the “straightforward, hard-working” people who live there.
