Bottega to showcase latest products and new bar concept in Singapore

Bottega is looking to further its presence in the Asian travel retail and duty free channel by showcasing its latest products for onboard catering as well as a new bar concept at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition and Conference in Singapore (Stand M9).

Over the past ten years, Bottega has invested heavily in the region, which has proved to be a crucial market, according to the Italian beverage company.

Bottega’s travel retail and duty free business accounted for 38% of its overall export turnover in 2013, up +8% compared with the previous year.

New products that will be introduced at the show include the sweet sparkling rosé, Il Vino dell’Amore Petalo Pink Manzoni Moscato Rosé, which is made from a grape variety created in the 1930s by Professor Luigi Manzoni by crossing Moscato with Raboso.

Other products on display will include Brunello Prêt-à-Porter, a special Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, which is cased in a vintage-inspired faux leather box; Bottega Diamond, a sparkling white wine made from Pinot Noir grapes using the “˜long Charmat’ method in a bottle with small crystals representing the name Bottega; and Rose Gold, a rosé sparkling wine from Pinot Noir grapes in its original metallic bottle.

Bottega will also present the Bottega Prosecco Bar, which is a new concept that is designed to resemble a typical Venetian “˜bacaro’. The bar matches traditional finger food and specialties with suitable wines from the Bottega range. The brand said it can be adapted for a variety of environments.

The first bar of this kind opened in January 2014 aboard the Viking Cinderella. Bottega has plans to open more Prosecco Bars at Ritz Carlton in Dubai and Intercontinental in Abu Dhabi as well as other international locations soon.
