VIP fan: Johnny Depp carries the Bric’s Life Leather Clipper bag in ‘The Tourist’ movie |
ITALY. A travel bag produced by leathergoods brand Bric’s is making an appearance in a new film starring Johnny Depp.
The Hollywood star carries the Life Leather Clipper bag in ‘The Tourist’, which makes its debut in cinemas soon.
Made from Tuscan leather, the fully lined bag has a removable shoulder strap and a zip pocket on the front for travel documents.
In other news, Bric’s exhibited its collection of travel goods at the TFWA World Exhibition in October.
Brand Manager Michele Maccapani told The Moodie Report he was “very happy” with the progress of Bric’s in travel retail, where the brand is performing well in locations such as Korea and Sao Paulo Airport. The company has just started working on Chinese duty free projects, for which Maccapani also has high hopes.
Restyled Life collection
Maccapani puts the brand’s success down to an improvement in the economic situation along with restyled collections. Bric’s best-selling line, Life, has been revamped to make it more fashionable and functional. A trolley bag retails at €260-270.
Maccapani continued: “Our XBag collection offers very different ways to wear the bags, and we have many colours. We also have a cabin trolley bag which weighs only 2.5kg. Our Pininfarina collection trolley is made from foldable plastic, taking inspiration from developments in the car industry.”
Bric’s has a presence in travel retail stores across the world, notably a shop-in-shop at New York JFK Terminal 2 in the Rolling Luggage outlet, JFK T4, Minneapolis, Chicago, London Gatwick and Stansted airports, and The Venetian Hotel in Macau.
