Brisbane Airport issues RFP for speciality store in Domestic Terminal

AUSTRALIA. Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) is inviting retailers to respond to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a single speciality fashion, gifts or accessories concession as part of the second stage of the Domestic Terminal redevelopment.

BAC is offering a 91sq m space situated on Level 2 in the northern terminal departures area, which mainly accommodates Qantas services.

“Uniquely Brisbane”: The airport company’s vision for the Domestic Terminal brings Sense of Place to the fore

BAC completed stage one in 2016 with a A$15 million upgrade of the southern terminal (predominantly handling Virgin Australia services) and began the A$40 million stage two, to upgrade the northern and central terminals, in mid-2018.

BAC said the preferred candidate must “demonstrate that they have the necessary level of experience, capacity, and resources to partner with BAC to deliver its retail vision. This vision is to create a liveable airport environment that provides retail, commercial and recreational experience that is uniquely Brisbane”.

The RFP has commenced and will close at 4pm AEST on 19 November.
