ITALY. Italian luxury fashion house Brunello Cucinelli has opened its first airport store at Rome Fiumicino Airport as the brand seeks to expand its presence in travel retail.
The 92sq m boutique, located in the luxury shopping zone at the airport, features a monochromatic façade and cream interior colour palette. The store is characterised by marble flooring and minimalist displays, taking cues from the brand’s domestic boutiques in Rome and Milan.
The store offers Brunello Cucinelli’s men’s clothing, accessories, bags and leathergoods collections.
The brand’s ‘humanistic enterprise’ philosophy honours the ethical and environmental values of its Founder Brunello Cucinelli, by putting respect for people and creation at the heart of all its operations. This means that the company follows ‘Humanistic Capitalism’ principles and only strives for fair and sustainable profits.
Earlier this year, Brunello Cucinelli opened its first-ever travel retail door at the Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Haitang Bay in partnership with China Duty Free Group.
Commenting on Brunello Cucinelli’s new airport store, TW.O & Partners Senior Vice Executive Vice President Marco Passoni said: “This boutique is a small piece of Italian luxury and fashion excellence, living at the heart of FCO’s luxury precinct.
“We are delighted to see Brunello Cucinelli continue to build a presence in the travel retail market at a time when true luxury and the brand’s humanitarian values have never been more important.”
TW.O & Partners — which represents Brunello Cucinelli in the travel retail channel — is a Silver Partner at the upcoming Virtual Travel Retail Expo 2021, set for 11-15 October.
As reported, The Moodie Davitt Report and partner FILTR.QINGWA are making several enhancements to the virtual platform used in 2020.
The two companies have jointly invested in an upgraded platform which, while ensuring consistency from last year, will take the event to a new level of exhibitor and visitor convenience, experience and engagement.
FILTR.QINGWA will curate the environment and provide end-to-end support and account management for all exhibitors. It will also provide an online masterclass this week to help exhibitors leverage the virtual platform to the maximum potential. This will be held on 8 July, with registration available here.
