PAKISTAN. Butlers Chocolate Café is set to open two new outlets this December in Karachi Airport – the first airport to showcase Butlers’ new kiosk format.
Specially designed for airports, this kiosk concept builds on the experience garnered at the Butlers Chocolate Café in Dublin Airport (opened in 2001) as well as the café that opened in Karachi last December.
The residents of Karachi are said to have taken to the model extremely well. “It is the perfect treat and indulgence concept, especially in a country where people seldom take alcohol,” the company said.

This new format will maximise the retail opportunity for chocolate sales, along with servicing the requirement for hot beverages on the go. It was designed to have a strong visual impact and to cater for a high volume of traffic in an efficient format.
Butlers Chocolates Chairman Mairead Sorensen said: “There has been considerable interest from a number of airports about this concept and we are very excited it to launch it in Karachi with our partner in Pakistan.
“I believe this is a concept that would work well in any airport and look forward to bringing Butlers Chocolate Café kiosks to other locations over the next year.”
Butlers Chocolates will be exhibiting at the TFWA World Exhibition next month (Stand number: Mediterranean Village N17).
