Butlers Chocolates strikes new venture with Valora Trade Nordic

IRELAND. Butlers Chocolates and Valora Trade Nordic have signed a long-term agreement for the Nordic travel retail market, effective 1 May.

The premium Irish chocolatier has identified opportunities for its products, particularly its impulse bar lines, and is committed to developing the Butlers brand in the Nordic market.

Butlers Chocolates Sales Director Karl Marnane said: “We are delighted to announce this new alliance with Valora Trade Nordic. There is a good synergy between our two companies and initial market reaction for Butlers Chocolates is very positive. I look forward to working closely with Valora Trade Nordic over the coming year and to developing the Butlers brand in this area.”

Valora Trade Nordic Commercial Manager Dines Sirvent-Graakjær said: “We are very proud to be able to bring added value to both the retailers in our region, and to the Butlers brand. We see a great potential for quality products like these, with prices at the right level and without domestic competition.

“We are convinced that within some years, together with Butlers, we will create a very strong brand in the travel retail channel. We have done this earlier with a number of “˜domestic unknown brands’ such as Bassett, Van Slooten and Max Kiene, and we definitely see the potential to build a new success with support from the retailers.”
