By Necker Trading, the liquor company headed by Cyril Necker, has introduced exotic spirit Bleu Coco into travel retail.
Bleu Coco was launched in June 2013 and is on sale in several airports and ferries, including Tallink Silja, Antalya Airport (TNG), Belgian Sky Shops in Brussels, and Setur Duty Free at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
Inspired by weekend escapes on a desert island, Bleu Coco is described as a smooth and fragrant cocktail, blending coconut and vanilla, combined with French premium vodka, plus a touch of French premium brandy to give balance and structure in the mouth.

The distinctive design of Bleu Coco is inspired by the style of Blue Delft tiles, known worldwide. Tiles printed on the bottle represent scenes of daily life on an island.
Bleu Coco (pronounced blø) is the latest creation of By Necker, the designer of naturally flavoured blended spirits produced in France. By Necker products celebrate L’Esprit du Soir [“evening spirit” in French], with a motto: “pure taste, pure design, pure enjoyment”.
All By Necker drinks have less alcohol than regular spirits (21%abv instead of 40%abv), less sugar than traditional liqueurs (56g/bottle instead of 300g and over, or 4g of sugar per 5cl drink), and 30% fewer calories than in traditional spirits or liqueurs.
Bleu Coco is served chilled and can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in a long drink combined with fresh mint and/or a variety of fruit juices – mandarin orange, mango, cherry and yuzu.
Cocktail creations made by bartenders include:
Stavros’: Put in a mixer a scoop of vanilla ice cream, 5cl Bleu Coco and 2cl cherry syrup. Mix and serve in a bell-shaped glass. Garnish with two cherries.
Sea view: Shake and strain over cubed ice into a highball glass, 5cl Bleu Coco, 10cl guava juice, 1cl raspberry syrup and two squeezed lime wedges. Garnish with two raspberries.
L’Esprit du Soir: Mix 5cl Bleu Coco with 6cl passion fruit juice and 1cl pineapple syrup.
