Cairo Airport Company invites Expressions of Interest to develop commercial business centre

EGYPT. Cairo Airport Company is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from investors to establish and operate a 39,000sq m commercial business centre (to house commercial, administrative and service companies) in its Airport City. The facility will overlook the main entrance at Cairo International Airport from Al-Nasr Road and Sheraton Heliopolis.

The project will be implemented through a long-term concession based on a design-build-finance-operate-transfer (DBFOT) model.

Applicants are expected to have minimum experience of not less than three years in establishing and managing commercial business centres. They must also must also have implemented and managed at least one similar project.

An identification brochure about the investor to prove its ability, experience, structure of key staff and marketing know-how is expected.

Interested applicants may form a consortium or joint venture to meet the eligibility criteria. A branch of the company should be established in Egypt to manage the project.

The deadline to submit EOI is 22 June 2023.

Cairo International is Africa’s busiest airport, serving just over 20 million passengers in 2022.
