V&S Absolut Spirits is introducing its latest Absolut vodka line extension, Absolut Apeach, to the duty free and travel retail market at TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. For the first time at Cannes, V&S is represented by Maxxium Global Travel Retail (Stand: Marine Foyer 1).
The duty free and travel retail market is seen as an important vehicle for sales and marketing of Absolut Apeach.
The flavoured vodka segment continues to grow, especially in the USA, but the trend is global. In addition, because it is in itself a global market, the duty free sector is well placed to meet the trend, V&S said.
“The introduction of Absolut Apeach will ensure the continued success that the Absolut brand has seen within the flavoured vodka segment,” said V&S Absolut Spirits Duty Free Director Anders Olsson.
“Absolut Apeach is an innovative and exciting new flavour to further boost a growing market. In the USA, where the product was launched earlier this year, the take-off has been fantastic as consumers demand distinctive new flavours.”
Absolut Apeach is a peach-flavoured premium vodka made from natural ingredients. The bottle is dressed in shades of pink-yellow hues, inspired by the skin of a peach.
V&S Absolut Spirits’ flavoured vodka portfolio now counts seven flavours. It also includes Absolut Citron, Absolut Vanilia, Absolut Kurant, Absolut Mandrin, Absolut Peppar and Absolut Raspberri.
