The new Ecridor Eclat Jardin en Hiver pen is adorned with Swarovski crystalsSWITZERLAND. Upscale Swiss writing instruments brand Caran d’Ache will launch a number of novelties at Cannes this month.
Following the success of the Ecridor Eclat ballpoint pen set with Swarovski crystals, launched in 2005, the firm will introduce a new, highly refined version of the Ecridor Eclat called ”Un jardin en hiver” (a garden in winter).
Forty-two Swarovski crystals sparkle on the engraved flower petals and butterfly wings. Set in sprinkles and blocks, the crystals create a playful light effect on the polished surfaces of the pen.
The pen comes in a velvety black pouch enhanced with a Swarovski crystal. It carries the label (CRYSTALLIZED WITH SWAROVSKI ®), to certify the use of genuine Swarovski crystals.
Caran d’Ache International Duty Free Manager Urs Messerli told The Moodie Report: “The company is targeting women aged from 30+ looking for a jewellery writing instrument, which is becoming an original, top quality, trendy fashion accessory to carry in their handbag.”

They are offered in decorative, luxury bottles made of Italian crystal glass in a simple design. Added Messerli: “Their transparent bodies show the inks clearly, making them decorative objects that add a touch of colour to their surroundings, reflecting changing moods and seasons.”
