URUGUAY. Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo has renovated its arrivals hall and added two new commercial outlets in line with a commitment to innovation and providing the best experience for travellers and visitors.
In addition to an aesthetic redesign, the area features Panadería Brava, a bakery that fuses traditional and modern offerings, led by an array of bakery items including pastries and sourdough bread plus specialty coffees.
Created by Uruguayan entrepreneurs, Panadería Brava offers options for any time of the day, including a wide range of typical Uruguayan sourdough products for breakfast and snacks, as well as homemade options for lunch.
A new store from candy giant Fini has also opened, offering a diverse range from classic gummies and candies to marshmallows and chocolates.
In the renovated space, existing concessionaires such as Redpagos, Antel and Airport Taxis and Shuttles continue to offer their services.
The design proposal gives prominence to nature. Two new garden beds located in front of the commercial premises feature native Uruguayan plants.
Aeropuertos Uruguay Commercial Manager Matías Carluccio revealed that the renovation is the first phase of a broader modernisation project, which includes a redesign of the airport’s central information zone next year.
“The arrivals hall is characterised by being a place full of emotions and that is why we look for new ways to renew ourselves and surprise our passengers and visitors,” Carluccio said.
“We are happy to welcome two new commercial premises to elevate our proposal and continue to enhance the customer experience.” ✈
