US. Paradies Lagardère has partnered with Vancouver International Airport to open an illycaffè in the airport’s international terminal.
The unit, which is located between gates 65 and 66, is the popular Italian brand’s first full-service coffee shop in a Canadian airport.
A Relay store, which adjoins illycaffè, has been refreshed to offer travellers beverages, snacks and other travel essentials. An opening event celebrating the new concept was held on 1 August.

Illycaffè is regarded as a global leader in sustainable high-quality coffee. The third-generation, family-owned company from Trieste, Italy, aims to offer coffee lovers an inspirational and immersive ‘illy experience’, through visual elements and coffee of “unparalleled quality”.
Illycaffè baristas are trained at the company’s Università del Caffè faculty, with sessions including traditional espresso, latte and cappuccino, illy Cold Brew and specialty drinks.
