SOUTH AMERICA. José Luis Donagaray is stepping down as Secretary-General of the South America Duty Free association ASUTIL. He will be succeeded by Carlos Loaiza-Keel, Secretary General of CEFSU, the Chamber of Uruguayan Free Shop Operators.

Revealing his departure during a press conference this afternoon, Donagaray, who has represented the trade body with much distinction for 22 years, also revealed that next year’s ASUTIL conference will be staged in Bogota, Colombia.

Donagaray said that his last official duty with ASUTIL will be at October’s TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes. There he will be accompanied by Loaiza-Keel, who is highly respected in the duty free industry and has been a regular speaking contributor at ASUTIL conferences.
