CHINA. Swiss skincare, beauty and wellness brand Cellcosmet, owned by Cellap Laboratoire, has opened a new shop-in-shop at Global Premium Duty Free (GDF) Plaza, located at the Mova Mall complex in Haikou.

GDF Plaza is operated by licence holder Hainan Provincial Development Holdings (HDH) with support from the Dufry and Alibaba joint venture. The opening marks the brand’s second store in Hainan, after it launched its debut offline store in China at Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex in Sanya in September 2021.

The store features a minimalist red and white colour palette, which underscores the Swiss origins of the brand. It offers Cellcosmet’s best-selling lines including the Cellcosmet Active Tonic, UltraCell Intensive, CellEctive CellLift, Cellcosmet Serum and Cellmen Face.

Cellcosmet and sister brand Cellmen (the men’s skincare line) are responsible beauty brands with formulas containing an average of 80% natural-origin ingredients. The company has pledged to increase the naturalness of its formulations to 90% for every new formula created.

About Cellcosmet

In 1982, Cellcosmet founder Roland Pfister founded the Cellap Laboratoire, dedicated to the research and development of cell skincare products. His clinical pursuits at the forefront of cellular science led to him discovering cellular therapy (based on the premise that a tired or stressed cell becomes revitalised when in contact with a young cell).

He was able to adapt this concept to the world of skincare by creating the revolutionary CellControl method which preserves the powers of stabilised cellular extracts. This development continued in 1987 when, with the support of his spouse, Edith Pfister and in conjunction with biologists, pathologists, dermatologists and skincare authorities, the Cellap Laboratoire launched the Cellcosmet and Cellmen brands for women and men, respectively. ✈
