Cerruti 1881 will be attending the 2013 TFWA World Exhibition in a bid to expand its presence in what it calls “the ultimate business of the future”. The Italian brand has attended the annual Cannes fair every year since 1995.
Acknowledging the sector’s growing business clout, Cerruti 1881 said it was continuing to increase its presence in airports and inflight “fully aware of the importance that the duty free and travel retail business has in today’s economy and of the fast-paced rhythm at which this business is developing”.
It added: “The duty free and travel retail business is becoming the ultimate business of the future and the brand is eager to take an active part in this process.”

New airport stores and airline listings
Between the end of 2012 and the first half of 2013, two Cerruti 1881 shops began trading in Hong Kong International and Shanghai Hongqiao airports and new listings were agreed with airlines such as TAP-Air Portugal, China Southern, Air China, Kuwait Airways, Hong Kong Airlines, Etihad, Virgin Atlantic, Qatar Airlines, Cyprus Airlines, South African Airways, EVA Air, Hainan Airlines and Qantas.
The Cerruti 1881 shop in Shangai Hongqiao Airport is located in Terminal 2, inside the Luxury-Brand Boulevard, in a double-storey boutique. The shop’s black and white interiors, enhanced by mirror-finished dark steel, are designed to evoke Cerruti 1881’s sophistication and timeless elegance.

The Cerruti 1881 shop in Hong Kong Airport is located in Terminal 1. The store concept comes from the brand’s heritage, mixing the Italian taste for elegance and the Parisian “Place de la Madeleine” flagship lifestyle in a modern and contemporary way, according to the firm.
The Parisian atmosphere is subtly injected through the use of limestone, the contrast of white walls and dark lines, as well as the grey-textured stone pavement.
Cerruti 1881 products, spanning leathergoods, watches, writing instruments, fragrances, legwear, eyewear, ready-to-wear, ties, scarves and jewellery, are also available in other main airports, including Dubai, Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Amman, Hong Kong, Moscow and Porto, and onboard other major airlines (Gulf Air, Fly Dubai, China Eastern, Avianca, Emirates and via concessionaire DFASS USA).
Among the new products that will be exhibited at the TFWA World Exhibition in October are the Pauline folding shopper in a variety of trendy colours; a pair of sunglasses combining vintage inspiration and contemporary design; the Tate black-lacquered fountain pen with a distinctive square shape; the Dot-and-Tartan Collection of 100% silk ties which revisits the dot and tartan patterns on coloured fabrics to create a textured effect; and the new Firenze Romane timepiece collection which combines clean and modern design with the finest materials.
Cerruti 1881 will be exhibiting in the Bay Village (stand number 14).

About Cerruti
Cerruti 1881 was founded by the Cerruti family in 1881 in Biella, in northern Italy. In 1950, Nino Cerruti took over the family business and in 1967 launched the Cerruti 1881 label and opened his first boutique at Place de la Madeleine in Paris, the flagship store and address of the company’s head office. Cerruti has since expanded its offer to include fragrances, casualwear, watches and accessories. The company operates both directly, via its head office in France, and through licensing and distribution agreements for men’s high-end and luxury brands worldwide. The global network of Cerruti 1881 boutiques comprises 112 units, including 95 under direct management and 17 under franchise.
Since April 2011, Cerruti has formed part of the Hong Kong-based group Trinity Ltd, a specialist in high-end menswear.
