QATAR. French luxury fashion, beauty and fragrance house Chanel has partnered with Qatar Duty Free to open an elegant and immersive fragrance space at Hamad International Airport.
The rounded 33sq m space in the main retail zone invites travellers to discover Chanel’s complete fragrance line in an exclusive environment. The elegant boutique reflects the fashion house’s signature monochromatic colour palette, with hints of beige and gold, accented with familiar Chanel motifs. Through the space, Chanel aims to create a luxurious boutique atmosphere amidst the hustle and bustle of the Qatari gateway.
One of the store’s key features is an interactive ‘Olfactive Bar.’ The bar, which was developed by the Chanel Fragrance Laboratory, uses an innovative ceramic blotter system to house Chanel’s entire scent portfolio. This includes the historic Chanel N°5 scent (which celebrates its centennial anniversary this year) and its five expressions.
The striking Chanel space also features all of the 18 scents in the Les Exclusifs de Chanel collection, including the new Le Lion fragrance. Le Lion was crafted by Chanel Perfume Creator Olivier Polge in collaboration with the House Fragrance Laboratory.
A deep oriental fragrance, Le Lion honours the house’s legendary founder, Gabrielle Chanel, whose birthday falls under the Leo zodiac sign. The fragrance offers amber, cistus labdanum, vanilla and leather olfactory notes.
