China National Tourism Administration approves more destinations for Chinese tour groups

CHINA. China’s State Council has approved another four countries – Croatia, Hungary, Pakistan and Cuba – as approved tourist destinations for Chinese travel groups, according to the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA).

The administration confirmed that China’s State Council had signed memorandums with the four countries allowing Chinese travel groups to visit.

CNTA approved travel agencies can organise travel groups to these countries from 1 November.

Currently China has approved 28 countries and regions as outbound destinations for Chinese tourists.
Xinhua news agency said earlier that the number of Chinese travellers going abroad exceeded 16 million last year.

The World Tourism Organization predicts China will become the fourth largest source of tourists by 2020.
