Cihuatán rebrand secures Double Gold at International Spirits Challenge

Licorera Cihuatán has been awarded a Double Gold Medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2020 for the vibrant full brand redesign of Cihuatán.

The Double Gold for design & packaging was awarded to the rum brand for its new mosaic look, which is designed to embrace the colour and energy of El Salvador. Licorera Cihuatán worked with French design agency Appartement 103 on the rebrand.

Walter Aguilar, the Global Commercial Director for Rum Cihuatán, commented: “There is nothing more engaging than sharing real stories and legends. We managed to showcase who we truly are as a country through this rebranding.

“Every sip of Cihuatán is a chance to discover El Salvador’s heritage, colour and energy; we wanted the brand to be a reflection of this spirit. We have already achieved this with dedication and time through our rums aromas, flavours, textures and visual cues, so that consumers can experience what it means to be El Salvadorian. This is why we decided to invest in the future of the brand to the highest level and the results speak for themselves.”
