Clarins keeps consumers looking Younger Longer – 03/01/08

Turning back time with Younger Longer

FRANCE. Clarins has introduced a new anti-ageing product called Younger Longer. It is being launched this month in European and Asian travel retail, before being rolled out to the US and the Middle East in March, followed by Australia in April.

The product is said to work on two factors that are key to maintaining skin’s youthful appearance: microcirculation and the network of nerve endings.

Young, healthy skin is served by a network of thin capillaries that continually provide it with moisture, nutrients and oxygen. In addition, the skin’s nerve endings co-ordinate the activity of all the various cells.

Younger Longer is claimed to be the first product to stimulate both of the skin’s youthful networks at the same time. It does this via its patented formula which features two vegetal extracts, titrated in active molecules: Maritime Pine and Centella Asiatica.

These help to protect and repair capillaries damaged by age, claims Clarins, while Glistin, a diopeptide with optimal bio-availability, ensures the protection of nerve endings.

Other key ingredients include vitamins A, C and E, provitamin B5, green algae and Clarins’ Expertise 3P complex, to protect the skin from pollution.

For maximum effectiveness, Younger Longer should be applied using Clarins’ Youth-Stimulating Method. This features a series of measuring patting motions said to stimulate the delivery of nutrients in the epidermis. It also counters skin stretching.

Younger Longer is said to be suitable for all skin types, and is recommended for use from the age of 30. It is not designed to replace regular items, but to be used on an alternating basis, such as every other day, to boost the action of the existing skincare regimen.
