Clarins is poised to launch its new make-up collection for summer 2014. Colours of Brazil, which features products for the eyes, lips and face, will be on-counter from 27 April.
A collection highlight is the Truly Waterproof Mascara, available in Intense Black and Curaҫao. Formulated with orange tree wax and olive squalane, the mascara is said to protect lashes from UV rays while making them appear fuller for up to 12 hours. According to the brand, 93.6% of women reported satisfactory waterproof effectiveness. Truly Waterproof Mascara will retail at €26.50.

Also new for eyes is the Eye Quartet & Liner Palette, priced at €44.50. The palette includes a blue eyeliner and four wet and dry eyeshadows in shades including beige, coral and taupe.
Lip Balm Crayons (€19) claim to protect and moisturise the lips. They are available in six shades including soft coffee, sweet cherry and creamy pink. According to Clarins, after two weeks’ use 82.5% of women said that their lips felt softer.
The face offer includes the Summer Bronzing Compact, which is said to naturally warm the skin tone. Formulated with ingredients such as white tea, the bronzer is claimed to protect and moisturise. The recommended price point is €46.50.
Lastly, Shimmer Oil Face & Body (€40.50) is said to enhance a tan without leaving skin feeling oily. Formulated with Vitamin E and hazelnut oil, the product aims to prevent skin from drying out. According to Clarins, 95.1% of women reported that their skin felt more luminous after using Shimmer Oil.
