UK. Leading cosmetics brand Clinique rolled out a series of new makeup products and skincare sets this month – Great Skin, Great Lips Set, Even Better Makeup SPF15 and Almost Powder Makeup SPF15.
Great Skin, Great Lips Set
The Great Skin, Great Lips set features Clinique’s 3-Step skin care system, which includes a 30ml Liquid Facial Soap Mild, a 60ml Clarifying Lotion 2 and a limited edition Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion in a 200ml size.
The set also comes with a Full Potential Lips mini duo-ended lip gloss in Peach Plump and Mimosa Blossom.
The limited edition set is exclusive to travel retail and is available from March.
Even Better Makeup SPF15
Described by Clinique as “a foundation that virtually erases uneven skin tone”, the Even Better Makeup SPF15 is a lightweight, oil-free liquid foundation that addresses the problems of dark spots and discolouration.
According to Clinique, reports and studies have shown that one in four women is concerned with hyperpigmentation – an increase in the skin’s normal colour in a particular area. Uneven skin tone was noted to be the second most important skin care concern following lines and wrinkles

Even Better Makeup SPF15 |
The Even Better Skin Tone Corrector was launched by Clinique to target this skincare concern.
The same treatment technology was applied by the Clinique Laboratories to Even Better Makeup SPF15.
The foundation is Clinique’s first dermatologist developed makeup that is claimed to restore uneven skin tone and diminish the look of discolouration with continued use.
It contains a potent, antioxidant blend of ingredients such as highly active Vitamin C complex, Vitamin E, mushroom yeast extract, natural grapefruit peel and white birch extracts. The mineral enriched formula improves skin’s radiance and clarity while reducing visible signs of sun damage, dark patches, age spots and acne scarring, the company said.
The formula also includes broad spectrum SPF 15 – a blend of chemical (octinoxate) and physical sun screens (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide) – to prevent future sun damage.
Even Better Makeup SPF15 is designed for dry combination and oily skin types, offers moderate to full coverage with a natural, smooth, matte finish and is suitable for women of all ages.
It comes in 14 shades and is available only in the UK travel retail market from March.
Almost Powder Makeup SPF15
The Almost Powder Makeup SPF15 is a powder foundation that contains a blend of advanced technologies that help maintain moisture balance in the skin for all skin types; dry skins will find it is non-drying while oilier skins will find it reduces oil and shine breakthrough.
The powder foundation has a natural-looking finish and is claimed to be sweat and high-humidity resistant while evening out skin tone, eliminating blotchiness, redness and camouflaging imperfections.

Almost Powder Makeup SPF15 |
The powder foundation formula contains:
• a blend of chemical and non-chemical sunscreens, including Titanium Dioxide, which provide broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection.
• antioxidants that shield skin from free radical damage, Tocopherol and Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate.
• moisturising and conditioning agents, Squalane and Sodium Hyaluronate, which help maintain skin’s moisture balance.
• special “film formers” and ultra-light spherical polymers which help contribute to the light and airy texture.
• Micro-Mirrored Pigment Technology which gives the product the ability to become more opaque when applied to areas of imperfections.
• Capillary Shell Technology which recognises changing skin conditions and reduces oil and shine breakthrough while maintaining the skin’s moisture balance.
According to the Clinique Global Truth in Beauty Survey, foundation is the most essential beauty product in Japan and Korea, with 90% of Japanese women saying they wear it, and the majority wearing it every day.
Clinique engaged a renowned Japanese artisanal company in Tokyo to produce Almost Powder Makeup SPF15 using a new process.
The company said: “The new Almost Powder Makeup SPF15 is made on 3 machines, among the only in the world that can create the unique texture. A state-of-the-art liquid to powder technology is utilised, during which the liquid evaporates leaving a soft powder. While this is happening, tiny air pockets are created in the powder contributing to the exquisite, silky feel.
“The new Almost Powder Makeup SPF15 takes twice the time to produce as a normal powder because it is subject to three levels of pressing, which preserve the air pockets.”
Almost Powder Makeup SPF15 is available in six shades with moderate buildable coverage. It will be launched in international markets, except the UK, from March.
