Clinique is set to re-promote the Calyx feminine fragrance, created in 1986 under the auspices of the group’s Prescriptives brand (now available exclusively online). It will be available in travel retail worldwide from February.
Described as a fresh, clean scent, the Calyx juice was one of the first to feature a signature citrus accord. It is named after the protective covering of a flower bud – the green leaves that wrap tightly around petals before they blossom.
Composed by nose Sophia Grojsman after a visit to the Mediterranean, Calyx features two key ingredients: crisp grapefruit and green leaf. The former delivers a juicy, lively feel to the fragrance, according to the brand. The latter creates a dewy, refreshing feel. Other notes include mango, passion fruit, mandarin, freesia, muguet, neroli, oakmoss, orris and vetiver.
Clinque Calyx will be available as a 50ml and 100ml.
