New this month from Clinique: Supermoisture Makeup and Play in the Darks |
UK. Clinique has unveiled its major second-half make-up launch. The new foundation, Supermoisture Makeup, is rolling out into travel retail worldwide from this month.
The foundation is claimed to actually improve skin’s moisturisation and deliver a radiant, healthy glow. It features super-intense humectants, for intense hydration, in a lightweight, crème-gel formula, making it ideal for dry to combination-skinned women, according to Clinique.
Supermoisture Makeup is said to be long wearing, and delivers sheer to moderate coverage with a dewy finish. In addition, olive, cranberry and birch extracts, plus aloe leaf water, provide calming, soothing benefits.
Supermoisture Makeup is available in 10 shades, and is packaged in a clear, 30ml tube for easy shade recognition and portability.
In other news, Clinique has introduced its Play in the Darks Fall 2007 make-up collection to Americas travel retail. Certain items will be available in other regions, although not as a full trend statement.
The collection offers a rich, sophisticated palette of deep, luxurious hues for a polished, yet refined look, in line with this autumn’s fashion for deep colours, tailored lines and sophisticated fabrics.
Key features are this season’s on-trend smoky eye, and dark yet sheer lips.
Play in the Darks features a new item, the Colour Surge Eye Shadow Trio, which contains three luxury eye shadow shades – one base and two accent colours – in one convenient compact.
The collection also contains one of Clinique’s most popular lip products: Almost Lipstick in Black Honey – the company’s best-selling lipstick of all time. According to Clinique, one Black Honey Almost Lipstick is still sold every two minutes; 852 are sold daily, and 310,980 are sold each year.
Other items in the collection include Brush-On Cream Liner 5ml and Blushing Blush Powder Blush 6g.
