Clinique counters the issue of dry skin with Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator |
Clinique has updated its Moisture Surge franchise, introduced in 1988, with a new product, Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator. It is being launched this month at Clinique travel retail counters in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan, and will roll out to travel retail worldwide from January 2012.
As its name suggests, the Moisture Surge collection was created to address the problem of dry skin. The new Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator is said to be suitable for drier and more delicate skins in need of intense hydration. The rich cream-gel delivers elevated moisturising benefits via a double-hit – maximum hydration plus moisture barrier repair technology.
Clinical tests showed that after just three days of use, the skin’s moisture barrier was dramatically strengthened and improved, according to Clinique. Skin is left looking dewy and supple, and stays comfortably plumped for up to 24 hours. After eight weeks’ use, the skin’s moisture is increased by over +40 % and barrier strength is increased by over +70 %.
Key hydrating ingredients include Olive Squalane, Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract (from water-binding red algae), Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycerin and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice.
Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator 50ml can be applied in the morning or at night, after the appropriate Clinique 3-Step Skin Care Regime, and is intended primarily for skin types 1 and 2.
