Confectionery specialist Cloetta Global Travel Retail (GTR) is marking a new partnership with WHSmith by wrapping several key stores in Europe in standout The Jelly Bean Factory purple.
Airport stores in Madrid and Palma de Mallorca feature large visuals of the best-selling Pop A Bean line. The travel retail-exclusive The Jelly Bean Factory range is also highlighted in 40 WHSmith shops in other locations throughout Europe.
WHSmith International Buying Manager FMCG Natasha Harris said: “We are delighted to partner with Cloetta across our airport stores across Europe. Cloetta has been fantastic to partner with and we are excited to see their potential within our Travel Confectionery category.”
According to Cloetta Global Travel Retail, The Jelly Bean Factory, with its distinctive flavours, colourful packaging and playful branding, “lends itself perfectly for such activations and for growing the total confectionery category”.
The range listed at WHSmith includes the 175g tube, with three flavour mixes (36 huge, 18 fruit and nine sour), and targeting self-consumption and sharing, the Pop A Bean and the 275g sharing bag.
Cloetta GTR said its strategy to grow the sugar confectionery category and develop a global travel retail presence was the driving force behind this first-ever collaboration between the two companies.
