CNSC opens revamped downtown store in Hangzhou

CHINA. China National Service Corporation (CNSC) has celebrated the Grand Opening of its new-look downtown duty free store in Hangzhou, the capital of China’s Zhejiang province. The ribbon-cutting event and store tour, held on 28 August, was graced by CNSC senior management, city and regional officials and media.

The two-storey store features a wide array of popular brands and categories, including cosmetics, fragrances, sunglasses, leathergoods, fashion and accessories, jewellery, food and confectionery, handicrafts, consumer technology and household appliances.

The offer provides a wealth of post-arrivals shopping options for Chinese travellers returning from abroad and a much-enhanced shopping experience.

As reported, CNSC has embarked on a sustained investment programme and has conducted ambitious refurbishments of its downtown stores in Dalian, Nanjing, Zhengzhou and Harbin. The travel retailer also plans to open a revamped store in Changjiahui, in Chongqing, southwest China by year-end, Duty Free Expert reported.

CNSC is also planning to open a near 1,800sq m post-arrivals duty free store in Beijing FUN (北京坊), a commercial and cultural development adjacent to the National Palace Museum, National Grand Theatre, National Museum and other renowned cultural institutions.

CNSC is attending the inaugural Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo in October and is looking forward to meeting existing and new brand partners there.
