Coccinelle’s signature blush pink hue features prominently throughout the space, which offers its colourful bags and leathergoods

ITALY. Italian leather goods company Coccinelle has opened a standalone boutique at Rome Fiumicino Airport. It is the first store globally to feature the brand’s new retail concept.

Coccinelle said in a statement: “With Fiumicino, we have achieved the evolution of the current format that blends materials, shapes and colours with a perfect balance to express the femininity of the brand and its contemporary take.”

The Schengen area boutique offers a relaxed ambience to provide a pleasant and memorable shopping experience, the brand owner noted.

It offers Coccinelle’s bags and small leathergoods collections.

The store concept adopts a minimalist approach with walls and ceilings dressed in a warm white colour. Lacquered furnishings and brushed brass metallic elements come together to make the space more vibrant.

The boutique design emphasises the brand’s bags and accessories and immerses travellers in what is described as a ‘fluid environment, enhanced by the use of golden and soft light effects.’

The boutique is the latest addition in Coccinelle’s growing store network in travel retail where it has 118 points of sale in major airports, downtown duty free malls and cruise ships.

The brand can also be found in 120 stores in domestic stores worldwide and over 1,300 counters in department stores and multi-brand shops in 44 countries. ✈
