FRANCE. Grand Marnier has hired a design firm to create a holiday gift pack for premium Cognac Navan, whose exclusive US distributor is Moet-Hennessy USA.

Available in US liquor stores from November, the new gift pack aims to capture consumers’ attention due to its sleek, sophisticated design and soft-touch materials, according to Grand Marnier.

The Nomad pack was designed by the US branch of French design firm QSLD Paris. The packaging is a high-density acrylic carrying case with built-in handle adorned with the contemporary Navan logo. It is accompanied by two stemless glasses.

Introduced in Miami at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards, Navan is dubbed by its brand marketers as “touched by vanilla”, one of its ingredients.

Explaining the idea behind the new gift concept, Denis Boudard, Art Director & Founder of QSLD, said: “A gift pack has to be unique and distinctive in order to generate displays at the key holiday selling period. Also, the Navan message conveyed through this value-added packaging is instantaneous and direct to both inform and seduce the consumer. We truly expect to boost sales dramatically.”
