SRI LANKA. Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) has introduced a temporary scheme so passengers can make up for being unable to buy duty free goods on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo due to the COVID-19-related closure of the shops.
Passengers who arrived during the closure period (9 March to 31 May – a period in which they were taken straight to quarantine centres and thus had no chance to purchase) can belatedly visit the airport arrivals shops to make their purchases, subject to provision of appropriate documentation.
