Wetzel’s Pretzels makes its Denver Airport debut |
USA. Concessions International (CI) opened a Wetzel’s Pretzels outlet in December at Denver International Airport’s Concourse B West.
The concept is CI’s tenth joint venture at the location. It is operated as a joint venture between CI and minority-owned business CI/El-Roi, a Wetzel’s Pretzels franchise. Wetzel’s Pretzels offers its signature pretzels in other premium locations such as Disneyland and Disney World. CI also operates restaurant concepts in Concourses A and C at Denver.
“We were fortunate to form a new partnership with Wetzel’s Pretzels,” said CI Chief Executive Donata Russell Major. “While other snack concepts are located throughout DIA, Wetzel’s Pretzels delivers a quality like none other and we know travellers will be sure to make a regular stop.”
Denver International is currently in the second phase of a US$500 million dollar long-term expansion plan.
“We respect CI’s vision and its focus on bringing unique restaurants to major airports,” said Wetzel’s Pretzels Executive Vice President Anthony Parete. “This is an exciting time for our company, as we look to add new airport locations throughout the US, and introduce millions of travellers to the perfect pretzel.”
