UK. Cadbury Schweppes International Travel Retail (CSITR) has announced the launch of its latest travel retail exclusive product, the new Cadbury Dairy Milk Wholenut 500g pouch. Building on the success of the Cadbury Dairy Milk 500g pouch, the Wholenut variant will include individually wrapped, bite-size chunks of the popular moulded product.
Available in the UK’s main airports including London Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester from March, as well as key locations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and North America, the launch adds to Cadbury’s already successful product portfolio.
CSITR general manager Steve Brock commented: “We are staggered and delighted by the huge success of our Cadbury Dairy Milk 500g pouch, launched last year. Due to the demand from our consumers, it was a natural extension to introduce the Wholenut 500g variant to the range. We are continually listening to our consumers and retailers to ensure that our products are exciting and fun, whilst building on the popular Cadbury Dairy Milk brand, the cornerstone of the Cadbury portfolio.”
He continued: “The travel retail division has now started to work closely with our business partners so we are able to maximise product and promotional development opportunities at a fast pace.”
With a strong on-shelf presence the design, which includes the popular “˜easy carry’ handle, will encourage impulse and gift purchases, with a strong focus on sharing and self-treat.
Steve Brock continued: “Our targeted re-modelling of products, such as the well known Milk Tray assortment re-launched as the Classic Selection box available from this April and the introduction of other new items to the comprehensive range, form part of our programme to listen to our consumers and our commitment to give them what they want, time after time.”
