SWITZERLAND. Nestlé International Travel Retail has rewarded four important customers in recognition of their significant contribution to the company’s success in 2002.
DFS North America was given the award for “˜Best Confectionery Partnership’ in recognition of the dramatic increase in sales brought about by the placement of branded gondolas in several key strategic US airports.
Dubai Duty Free received the award for the “˜Best Kit Kat Outlet in the World’, selling the equivalent of over three million Kit Kat 4-finger bars during the 12-month period from January to December 2002. This colossal sales performance equates to 9,000 bars per day.
Gebr Heinemann was recognised as the partner with the “˜Best Confectionery Growth’ within Nestlé for the year.
And finally Chocolate Sales and Supplies, Malaysia, was awarded the title “˜Best Kit Kat Outlet in Asia’ for their excellent sales of the Kit Kat Travel Pack in 2002.
“Successful partnerships are the key to flourishing business activities,” said NITR Trading Controller Iain Harrison. “In making these awards we are formally recognising the enormous contribution which these retailers have made to the success of our business in 2002. Trading conditions have been very challenging for everyone over the last year and we thank all our partners sincerely for their continued support and their immense hard work on our behalf.”
