DENMARK. Copenhagen Airport welcomed 20 million passengers in 2005, up +5% compared with 2004, making it the biggest airport in Scandinavia, according to data from Macquarie-controlled airport authority Copenhagen Airports.
In December the total number of passengers at Copenhagen increased by +9.1% compared to the same month in 2004. The number of international passengers grew by +8.3% to 98,185, of which scheduled passengers advanced by +7.0% to 78,516 and charter passengers leapt by +24.9% to 15,424.
The number of locally departing passengers climbed by +11.8% to 50,287. Transfer/transit passengers increased by +3.6% to 8,237.
The number of take-offs and landings fell by 1,439 in December, down -7.0% compared with the same month in 2004.
