COSMETICS: Jurlique in travel retail distribution agreement

AUSTRALIA. Australian natural beauty brand Jurlique has signed a travel-retail distribution agreement with US company Escale Destination Marketing Group. The deal is global but excludes Australia and New Zealand duty free,where Jurlique already has business with DFS and Nuance.

Escale president Caroline Cheung commented: “Jurlique offers exclusive, high-end products to consumers looking for natural skincare. We expect to see pricing in travel retail between that of Clinique and Clarins.”

Jurlique has moved rapidly into the mainstream market since the 1980s, but maintained a strong quality niche through its franchise and company-owned concept and Wellness Spa stores. The full range of beauty therapy, aromatherapy and facial and body services are available in Jurlique Concept Spa Stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Singapore, Atlanta, New York, Athens, London, Taiwan, Beijing and Hong Kong.
