FRANCE. Yves Saint Laurent Parfums has unveiled a new lipstick line, called Rouge Personnel. It is claimed to be the first “adjustable” lipstick on the market, in the sense that its formula is adaptable.
Rouge Personnel’s intensity increases with each coat, according to YSL. The first application delivers a light veil of transparent colour; the second a satiny sheen; and the third a grown-up, glamorous effect. Therefore users can vary their lipstick coverage in three different ways, with just one product.
Rouge Personnel is available in 24 shades, including Personal Frost, which delivers a pearlised effect to customise the other lipstick colours.
The lipstick is presented in a twist-up tube, the base of which illustrates the colour within.
In addition, YSL has created a limited edition, travel-sized fragrance collection, which is exclusive to travel retail. And the company has created new display units on which to merchandise it.
Each Travel Essentials kit contains a 30ml edt purse spray and a 50ml perfumed body lotion, presented in a matte, black bag which sports the name of the fragrance and a product shot. Opium, Paris and Nu are the lines featured.
Travel Essentials can be merchandised in three key ways: via freestanding nomadic columns (with or without visuals); or on countertops via a compact new presentation system.
