Blooming beautiful: Vera Wang Bouquet from Coty Prestige

INTERNATIONAL. Coty Prestige has unveiled a new feminine fragrance from Vera Wang, called Vera Wang Bouquet. It is being launched into European travel retail this month.

Explaining the inspiration behind the scent, the designer declared: “For me, flowers and fragrance are the perfect expression of love and commitment, and a bouquet symbolises that union. In the hands of a radiant woman, a bouquet can be magical.”

The fragrance concept, therefore, is designed to encapsulate the magic and beauty of a radiant, modern bride.

The juice opens on notes of dew drops, accentuated by bergamot and blackcurrant leaves. The floral heart is a blend of narcissus and honeysuckle, while the base is characterised by lavender, cedar and white iris root.

The flacon is a reinterpretation of the classic Vera Wang fragrance bottle, sporting curved facets cut into the front, offset by a clear glass cap and platinum-hued collar. The transparent bottle displays the delicate green-tea colour of the fragrance inside.

Vera Wang Bouquet is available as a 50ml and 100ml edp, a 150ml body lotion, a 150ml shower gel and a 200ml body crème.

In other news, Coty has created new limited-edition summer fragrances for its Davidoff Cool Water and Joop! fragrances. They too are rolling out in travel retail this month.

Davidoff Cool Water Freeze Me and Davidoff Cool Water Woman Freeze Me are said to “chill the skin like they just came out of the fridge”. The former is available as a 125ml edt spray; the latter a 100ml edt spray.

The men’s juice is described as a frosty-fresh revitalising version of the original, reworked by Takasago’s Philippe Bousseton. The women’s fragrance, updated by Fragrance Resources’ Pierre Bourdon, is said to be correspondingly fresh and tingly.

Temperature control: Coty offers consumers the choice to chill out or get all steamed up

In line with the “cool” theme, both fragrances have abandoned their signature metallic blue boxes, in favour of icy white-coloured outer packaging. Only through a hole in this “ice” is the original shade visible.

The flacons themselves have been designed to look as though they are frozen, with ice appearing to creep up the glass.

Conversely, Coty has turned up the heat for its Joop! seasonal limited editions, with the Joop! Hot Summer collection, also launching this month. Described as an irresistible invitation to a torrid summer, the scents are said to be more seductive, more sensual and sexier than ever.

The collection features Joop! Homme Hot Summer 125ml edt, Joop! Jump Hot Summer 100ml edt and Joop! Go Hot Summer 100ml edt.

There are two ancillary products: a 150ml Joop! Jump Hot Summer Cooling Hair & Body Shampoo, and a 150ml Joop! Go Hot Summer Cooling Hair & Body Shampoo.

Decorated with burning flames and brushed metallic coloured caps, the packaging is designed to evoke steamy summer nights. The graffiti-style Hot Summer logo reinforces the playful/mischievous mood.
