Stacy Martin, the face of Miu Miu’s debut feminine fragrance |
French-English actress Stacy Martin will be the global face of the first Miu Miu feminine fragrance, Coty has confirmed. The scent will be launched in September, following an agreement signed between Coty and Prada Group in October 2013.
Martin has already featured in Miu Miu’s 2014 Fall/Winter fashion campaign, in which she is described as young, sophisticated and graceful – with a thinly-veiled dark presence: “Miu Miu personified”, according to the house.
In her film career, Martin has established a reputation for risky, unconventional roles, as demonstrated by her lead performance in Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac. Her forthcoming films include Nicolas Saada’s Taj Mahal, and The Childhood of a Leader, in which Martin co-stars with Robert Pattinson and Berenice Bejo. This month Martin is attending the 68th Cannes Film Festival to present her latest release Tale of Tales, directed by Matteo Garrone.
For the fragrance campaign, Martin will be reunited with photographer Steven Meisel, who shot the Miu Miu fashion campaign. “I’m so honoured to be the face of the first Miu Miu fragrance,” noted Martin. “Working with Miu Miu is almost like working with family.”
