New from Coty Prestige: Davidoff Champion Energy |
INTERNATIONAL. Coty Prestige has updated its Davidoff Champion men’s fragrance with a new version, called Davidoff Champion Energy. It will be available in travel retail worldwide this autumn.
Like its predecessor, the sport-inspired scent aims to express qualities such as victory, success and achievement. Energy, power and dynamism are key components of the concept.
The juice, composed by Givaudan’s Aurélian Guichard (who also created Davidoff Champion), opens on notes of grapefruit and bergamot, building to a heart of galbanum and spices. The base blends cedar wood and oak moss.
In line with the sporting concept, the fragrance flacon is a reworked version of the original’s dumbbell-inspired bottle, this time sporting a frosted glass middle, with a silver and red colour scheme.
The TV advertising campaign was shot by Oscar-nominated director Sean Ellis. The model is Tyler Wood, best known for his campaigns for Calvin Klein and Abercrombie & Fitch. In the print visual he is bare-chested, and channelling a boxing vibe, with both hands protected with red tape, to echo the fragrance livery.
