Coty Middle East & Dubai Duty Free unveil Roberto Cavalli Paradiso

UAE. Coty Middle East and Dubai Duty Free have jointly launched Roberto Cavalli’s new female fragrance Paradiso on an initial global travel retail exclusive basis. As reported, the line is being rolled out internationally in early 2015.

Dubai Duty Free Senior Buyer Roshana Dev said: “Paradiso has shown excellent sales figures and again the Roberto Cavalli brand thrives with its global consumer appeal and strong brand equity in this region.”

The fragrance face is Lithuanian supermodel Edita Vilkeviciute.

Paradiso aims to convey the idea of paradise on earth, in line with the Italian couture house’s hedonistic positioning.

The choice of Dubai Duty Free for the global launch underlines the significance of the retailer’s fragrances business. In 2013 the category accounted for 16% of the retailer’s total US$1.8 billion in sales or US$289 million, an increase of over US$41 (+16%) on 2012.

For the first ten months of 2014, fragrances generated sales of US$251 million, putting the category well on track to hit an all-time sales high this year.
