Coty Prestige turns up the heat with Kenneth Cole Reaction Thermal – 16/11/06

US. Coty Prestige has unveiled the new men’s fragrance from designer Kenneth Cole, called Reaction Thermal. It is being introduced this month into the Americas market.

The original Kenneth Cole Reaction was launched in 2004. It was followed by a feminine version – Kenneth Cole Reaction For Her – one year later.

The scent, described as warm, comfortable and sexy, was inspired by the waffle-weave, body-hugging fit of a long-sleeved, cotton thermal pullover.

It is said to capture the heat and chill of thermal layering, in the form of a “soft, seductive scent, [with] a hip, urban edge and warm and cool contrasts”.

The juice opens on notes of tangelo, Tunisian artemisia and Ceylonese cardamom, leading to a heart of musk, nutmeg and lavender. The base is a blend of Tonka bean, vanilla and woods.

The curved glass flacon is a reworked version of the original Reaction, topped with a cool blue cap, and featuring a blue, white and grey fabric label.

The bottle is presented in a woven grey thermal pouch with drawstring closure and metal toggle, which doubles as a useful urban accessory for stashing a fare card or iPod, according to the company.

Kenneth Cole Reaction Thermal is available as a 100ml edt.

In other news, Coty Inc is to relocate its corporate headquarters in New York City. The move will unite the offices at 725 5th Avenue and 1325 Avenue of the Americas, to the landmark building at Two Park Avenue between 32nd and 33rd Streets.

Coty will occupy 75,000sq ft on the 17th floor, plus a portion of the 18th floor.

The One Park Avenue office, which combines Coty Prestige and Coty Beauty sales, marketing and product development teams, will remain unchanged and is directly across the street from the new corporate office location.
