Coty reveals new Marc Jacobs and BOSS fragrances

Coty has unveiled new fragrances from Marc Jacobs and BOSS Parfums.

Like the original Perfect eau de parfum which was launched in July 2020, Marc Jacobs’ Perfect eau de toilette takes inspiration from the American fashion designer’s personal mantra, ‘I am perfect as I am’.

The floral scent’s launch is backed by a print and digital campaign which celebrates individuality, personal truth and authenticity. The campaign focuses on #perfectasiam storytelling and was shot in New York by fashion photographer Juergen Teller and Marc Jacobs Creative Director Katie Grand.

Perfect edt – from IFF Perfumer Domitille Michalon-Bertier – is described as a fresh and bright interpretation of the original floral scent. It offers modern notes including pink peppercorn and polygonum, with a woody base and heart note of white daffodil. The juice itself is a soft green shade to reflect the new fragrance offering.

The edt  is presented in a refreshed take on the original Perfect bottle and packaging, both crafted in collaboration with Marc Jacobs himself.

The bottle has a weightless glass base, domed shoulders and gilded collar and a crystal-cut cap crowned with an assortment of mis-matched charms. Outer packaging is pastel green with a pearlescent finish and touches of silver, with an illustration by New York artist Jacky Blue.

Perfect edt is available now in travel retail in Europe and Asia Pacific and will feature in the Americas from April.

BOSS Parfums’ The Scent Magnetic for Him and Her offer a deeper interpretation of the BOSS The Scent.

The launch is backed by a campaign starring the faces of BOSS The Scent franchise, Hollywood actors Jacob Elordi and Laura Harrier.

BOSS The Scent Magnetic for Him, which is available in 50 and 100ml, combines black vanilla extract and bran absolute, with top notes of maninka fruit.

Composed by perfumer Delphine Lebeau, BOSS The Scent Magnetic for Him is described as a “seductive ambery, fruity, and leathery fragrance” and is presented in a black lacquered bottle, set within a gold cage.

The 30 and 50ml BOSS The Scent Magnetic for Her brings together white musk and textured osmanthus flower. It was created by perfumer Louise Turner and is presented in a diamond-shaped bottle lacquered in a deep purple shade and crowned with a gold cap.

Both fragrances are available from this month in travel retail in Europe and the Americas.✈
