SOUTH KOREA. Coty Travel Retail has partnered with Lotte Duty Free to open the first Lancaster store in Korea. Lancaster is exclusively available at the Lotte Duty Free World Tower store as part of a six month pre-launch.

The opening signals a the next stage in the brand’s expansion in the travel retail channel, the partners said.

Lancaster is currently repositioning as a skincare brand. Dressed in a rich blue and gold colour palette, the store design showcases the brand’s updated brand image and heritage. A crown emblem pays homage to the brand’s link to Monaco royalty when the former Princess Grace of Monaco appointed Lancaster as her official beauty provider in 1965.

A large skincare bar is the main focal point of the boutique and offers experiential product trial and discovery. The skincare bar invites travellers to explore Lancaster’s skincare innovations first-hand and offers a range of products from cleansing, anti-aging and sun protection. A special focus is dedicated to the Lancaster 365 Skin Repair Youth Transversal Serum, the brand’s new hero line.

At the boutique, shoppers can experience the brand’s regenerative products with the help of an on-site skincare expert.

The boutique is the first to offer the Lancaster Biometric Smart Skin Analyser. Here, shoppers can enjoy personalised skincare consultations that offers in-depth insights and treatments for their specific skin needs using Lancaster products. Shoppers can also enjoy pampering hand massages using the Lancaster 365 Skin Repair Youth Transversal Serum.

Importantly, the opening marks the launch of Lancaster’s new loyalty programme. Shoppers can join the programme for free and use it to learn more about the efficacy of the brand’s products, track its latest promotions and enjoy an array of benefits.

To celebrate the opening, Lancaster is hosting a series of skincare masterclasses starting with a livestream on Lotte Duty Free’s social media channels. The livestream will offer product usage tips and beauty advice – while in-person attendees will receive product trial test kits to sample during the masterclass.

“We are delighted to partner with Coty on this exclusive pre-launch in Lotte Duty Free as we strive to deliver scientific innovation and luxurious products to our customers,” added Lotte Duty Free Head of Merchandising Division Im Hyeong-il. “We also look forward to working closely together to further elevate customers’ experience through our exciting digital programmes.”

Founded in 1946 in Monaco by scientist Dr. Eugene Frezzati, Lancaster is guided by the concept of skin repair. In 1948, it became the first brand to use stabilised cellular extracts in Europe. In 1976, it introduced the use of Retinols in the beauty industry, obtaining a patent that same year.

In 2003, Lancaster developed a patented double liposomal skin enzyme technology that cemented its reputation as a leader in the field of skin repair. The Lancaster 365 Skin Repair Youth Transversal Serum leverages this patented double liposomal skin enzyme technology to visibly improve every aspect of the skin from roughness, elasticity, tonicity, firmness, pores, fine lines and wrinkles.

The serum helps reduce degradation of collagen and elastin, enabling skin to regain its natural radiance. Clinical tests show that pore size is reduced by 21%, skin elasticity is improved by 23%, and wrinkles are reduced by 17%, after just four weeks. Overall, skin texture is improved by 52% after using the serum.
