UK. Independent family-owned distiller William Grant & Sons has appointed Erik Thomsen as Travel Retail Regional Manager for Europe, effective 1 April this year.
Thomsen has 14 years of experience in the travel retail industry. Prior to this appointment, he was Regional Director Europe North with Maxxium Global Travel Retail.
Thomsen has also worked as the Purchasing Director for Inflight Service Europe and sales manager for Rémy Scandinavia Duty Free. In addition, he is the Chairman of the Nordic Travel Retail Group and is a Keeper of the Quaich.
William Grant & Sons Travel Retail Director Rita Greenwood said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Erik to the William Grant & Sons travel retail team. He brings a thorough knowledge of the industry at all levels and sound commercial acumen that will make him a real asset.”
