USA. The deadline for a key Request for Proposals (RFP) package issued by Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has been extended to Friday 24 January, 2014. The original deadline was 3 December.
Package D1-2 is for a total of six locations: three retail spaces in the centre zone of Terminal D, plus one news & convenience store each near gates B30, B33 and D39. The extension for Package D1-2 is necessary due to revised passenger seating needs near the premium retail locations at Gate D24.
As reported previously, the full RFP is for a total of 18 F&B, currency exchange and retail locations in Terminal B (four) and Terminal D (14).
Total annual concession sales in 2012 in Terminal B reached US$27 million, split between food & beverage with US$18.4 million and US$8.6 million in retail. In Terminal D, food & beverage sales were US$43 million and retail sales were US$32.2 million, with total annual concession sales of US$89.2 million.
